Some time last year I came across a truly unique photograph. It was a herd of sheep each dyed a different bright color, standing in a field of golden grass with the word “DREAM” spelled out in balloon letters overhead. The photograph was by renowned LA photographer Gray Malin, and I just had to have it!
Brody and I moved into our place in Malibu a little over two years ago and have slowly been renovating and decorating each room of the house. Our bedroom is still a work in progress (with a big master bath plan for this year), but in general the color scheme is set and super neutral. In fact, the only hint of color in the room was the green from a fiddle fig plant in the corner, so I was looking for something interesting to spice the room up just enough. It was then I came across Gray’s beautiful photo (it was one of several from his DREAM Series.
Today, that print hangs framed in black just above our headboard and the last thing I see before falling asleep each night reminds me to dream big things! Thank you, Gray, for this remarkable piece of art and contribution to our home. It will hold a special place in our hearts forever!
If you are new to Gray Malin, I promise you will find something (if not everything) to fall in love with, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that his smaller prints are still very reasonably priced (I am pretty certain that will not always be the case so snatch them up now!). This week framing is free so it’s an especially good time to invest 😉
