Coachella 2017

I can’t believe we’ve got another FORAY Coachella weekend on the books!! I am SO proud of our entire team for pulling off such a killer weekend this year!

Someone asked me last week which production company we hire for Coachella and the answer is: none. Tiana, Kels and I literally handle every talent negotiation, furniture install, sign creation, guest list addition, menu item, liquor sponsor, etc. ourselves, because you know what they say: “If you want something done right, do it yourself.” And when it comes to Coachella, we really are psycho perfectionists.

But in my opinion, all the late nights and anxiety are worth it when you host 50 (yes, 5-0) influencers for the weekend and they all leave you with thank yous and smiles on their faces (and let’s be honest, major hangovers haha!!) OR when strangers approach you throughout the weekend to congratulate you on a successful party!

This year we were thrilled to have L’Oreal Paris on board as our title sponsor. They had several beauty stations set up all weekend and also provided full glam for our Desert Oasis party guests! On a personal note I feel like L’Oreal saved me repeatedly throughout the weekend with their talented hair and makeup team! I seriously don’t know what I would’ve done without them (besides have some seriously dry-shampooed, lame hair Fri-Sun). They decked me out in cool braids, hair glitter, everlasting makeup – they were truly an indispensable part of our weekend!

There were quite a few other really cool activations at our party (like The Bumby’s performing and a boohoo.com styling suite), and our media partner HerCampus was on Facebook Live capturing all of those during the event! You can still watch the video on their FB page if you’d like to get a behind the scenes look at everything that went down! It really gives you a good feel for what it felt like to attend (except for if you were me because I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off, tequila in hand haha!).

Our amazing Chef Veronica served up “desert oasis” themed food throughout the event, alongside cucumber jalapeño Reyka vodka and ginger-lime tequila cocktails. Our guests danced to all kinds of fun music thanks to Brody and DJ Devin Lucien!

While the party was a hit, for me the festival was even more so! I love running around in the perfectly warm evenings at the polo grounds running into friends left and right, stuffing vegan tacos and ramen down my throat. The highlight for me this year was seeing Porter Robinson and Madeon play the main stage. Such great music!

Anyway, here are some photos from the weekend that tell the story pretty well too..
