A Valentines Day Reminder…

Happy Valentines Day everyone!! My mom sent me this today. It’s so cute and really along the lines of the advice I often give to my single girlfriends (but, honestly, it’s a great reminder to everyone)!

Some Valentines inspiration from Shel Silverstein:

  • The sweetest thing ever! Your a doll.

  • Thank you for sharing! That was THE cutest and great advice 🙂

  • This is beautiful it really puts in to perspective how you can’t base your happiness on others making you happy, it has to start with yourself! xx

  • Amazing how Shel Silverstein’s message is so simple yet so poignant. It makes me want to pull out all my old books. Thanks for sharing, Kaitlynn! Hope you, your man, and your girls had a great val/gal/entines!

  • Wow, this is great! Thank you for sharing. Simple and to the point. This is something I work on daily and is a great reminder of how important it is to be happy with yourself before you can really be with someone else.

  • Absolutely adorable!

  • You should do a post about wedding season! – what to wear and all the impt things we need to know. Esp if we’re bringing a date or if we’re attending as a date.

  • Thank you for sharing this video! I think it sends a message to all single people that you are not someone’s missing piece but instead you are a Big O. I really liked the part with “corners wear off and shapes change” because it also refers to people’s character. We grow all the time and everyone we meet help us shape ourselves until we become a Big O 🙂

To be honest, I felt very bad at first for being single on St.Valentine’s Day… but I’ve been reading different articles and watching series to smile. I think after reading this article about being alone and loving yourself on Girls Ask Guys and after seeing this lovely video about the missing piece and the Big O, I feel much better now! I am doing alright although I am alone, I’m still in the process of “wearing off my corners” and soon I will be able to find someone to “roll” with 🙂

    Love,
    Jess

  • After I originally commented I appear to have clicked on the -Notify
me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on whenever a comment is added I recieve 4 emails with the exact same comment.

There has to be a way you are able to remove me from that service?
    Thanks!

    • Sorry, but I honestly don’t think I have any control over that! It’s a service through WordPress as far as I can tell :/
